Heating components for fryers

The unique shape of Watlow's FIREBAR® flat heating elements minimises cooking and oil degradation, while boosting the flow of oil past the elements surface. This helps to pull heat away from the heater's sheath.

Advantages of FIREBAR technology

The flat technology of the FIREBAR heater creates a buoyancy force that lifts the oil into the work zone, making it better than round tubular heaters. Additionally, FIREBAR's width/thickness is 5.9mm, compared to an 11mm round tubular element. This comparative thinness reduces drag-on liquids and gases flowing past the heater, resulting in better heat transfer, faster heat-up time, as well as lower sheath temperature. And lastly, the surface area per linear inch of a FIREBAR is up to 70% greater than the 11mm diameter round tubular element. This leads to optimum heater performance and longer heater life.

The SERIES N7 cooking computer has a variable, audible, on-board alarm, offering a flexible and practical way to alert the cook when attention is required. Watlow's MINICHEF® 2000 was the food industry's first on-off/PID configurable temperature/time and machine function controller. This cooking computer is pre-programmed for multiple applications and ready to be installed. The MINICHEF allows you to control several commercial kitchen applications at once.

Fryer sensors

Watlow's RTD tube-style (RB) sensors are ideal for fryer applications. They are epoxy sealed, have dependable readings, customised diameters (0.125 - 0.250in.), quick time response and a durable rigid sheath.

Power switching for food kitchens

The E-SAFE® II hybrid power switch provides reliable, accurate power switching at high amperage and high ambient temperatures in food service kitchens. What's more, it eliminates the risk of toxic metals in food due to being mercury-free. The E-SAFE II has an extended contact life and is compact in size. Our fryer power switches are RoHS compliant by design.
